A quiet and unassuming spot on the road leading to Arashiyama, mostly frequented by locals. There are only two tables and no Wi-Fi, but it's a nice place to stop by on your way from Arashiyama, and you can even get some work done here: there’s free parking for two cars just across the road from the café.
This café is part of the micro-chain called Cafétime, and out of its three locations in Kyoto, this one has the longest lifetime as a café. Back in the early 2000s, Cafétime Saga decided to focus on specialty coffee and gradually transitioned to it entirely.
As with all Cafétime locations, you can try five types of coffee brewed in a French press, and if you buy at least 100 grams of beans, you’ll get a free drink.
