Takoriki is a culinary concept that reinterprets Osaka’s traditional street food, takoyaki, by pairing it with the refined setting of a wine bar. The restaurant is located on a narrow street near the Karahori shopping district, in the historic Kawarayamachi area of Osaka.

Founded in December 2010 by chef Masanori Imayoshi — previously known for his renowned restaurant Butatama, where he served okonomiyaki alongside natural wine — Takoriki has earned Michelin recognition (Bib Gourmand) and gained popularity among gastronomic travellers.

Its distinctive feature is the pairing of takoyaki with champagne or natural wine, which alters the conventional perception of the dish. The preparation follows a minimalist approach, highlighting the flavour of dashi, the texture of octopus, and a balanced use of salt, particularly in the cheese-topped version.

The restaurant seats seven guests at a counter. At lunchtime, only takoyaki is served; in the evening, a tasting menu of five to six courses is offered, accompanied by natural wine.
